Tech Stewardship
How It Works

Our Process isn’t typical for small Churches, which can create confusion. Our team has experience with mega-Churches. A small number of expert companies like ours travel across the entire country to bring this experience and workflow to small and medium churches.
Small Churches choose AV companies based on “the best equipment list”, because that’s how the companies think that are pitching them all the time . Small Churches don’t know what a real partner brings to the table (planning, execution, and support), because they’ve never had one.
01
Plan
Receiving an equipment list 1-3 weeks after a 2 hour site visit is not a plan. We review photos and scope to establish a ROM budget and educate on process. A technician will take measurements & 360 photography to generate a 3D Sanctuary Model. We measure power quality and conduct surveys and interviews.
Step
02
Budgeting
Budgeting is the key to stewardship. Onsite measurements complete our 3D sanctuary modeling for sightline studies, predictive sound modeling, camera and lighting angles, and acoustical treatment. After user surveys, we create multiple budgets to review onsite with all stakeholders. The final product is a full report. It’s the best resource ever for your capital campaign.
Step

03
Design
Precise documents turn budgets into reality. Our budget documents tell the story. Our design docs show how to built it. We create floorplans, RCPs, sections, elevations, schematics, panel elevations, and rack elevations. We review onsite acoustical measurements and update recommendations. At this point, we also catch anything missed in the budgeting stage.
Step
04
Install
Our Project Management and ERP Systems keeps all stakeholders informed and schedules on track. We install based on OSHA and rigging best practices. Our teams fly in and attack projects like AV Special Forces. Depending on our budgeting and stewardship plan, congregants and volunteers may be employed for part of the work.
Step

05
Support
Support includes launch. It’s the most important stage. We do extensive testing, tuning, and commissioning. We provide extensive training on both our systems and general knowledge. After training, we’re there for support. We design for remote monitoring. We can literally push faders from anywhere and respond quickly. For onsite issues, we have a network of techs across the US.
Step
06
Refresh
Refresh is the other side of stewardship. We help you plan and budget for technology upgrades so that you maintain working technology and keep congregants eager for the next phase. We provide a capital budgeting plan, based on equipment types. Regular refresh keeps your Church Tech clean and functional, so you can focus on leading.
This leads to the joke that most Churches buy 3 sound systems. The 1st from a brother-in-law who is a musician or DJ. The 2nd from a music store. The 3rd from an AV Contractor. After the first AV contractor, we often still see the sound system replaced every 5 years! When we’re finally called, we often discover the real problem was the acoustics in the room from day 1.
We help Churches break out of this cycle of technology pain and discover how much more effective they can lead with a true partner at the table. We do our part so you can do yours!
